    Default man for peace

Can one say 'I am a man for peace' meaning 'I am a man who wants peace', 'I am a man who is for peace?'
Can one say 'I am a man for reconciliation' meaning 'I am a man who wants reconciliation', 'I am a man who is for reconciliation?'

You could, but it would be better as "I am for peace" or "I am for reconciliation".

Didn't Churchill say that about Chamberlain at Chamberlain's funeral?

He was a man of peace.

Chamberlain. That's what the phrase "about Chamberlain" meant.

I was trying to be sarcastic, no one in their right mind would describe Churchill as a peacemonger
