    Re: pronunciation

    seven-four-seven

Most of the Boeings are pronounced like this, e.g. seven-three-seven.

However, the Boeing 777 is called "triple seven"

    I've never head 'triple seven'.

I agree about 'seven four seven', though I think you may want some American input; I seem to remember hearing an American voice saying 'seven forty-seven'. But I'm really not sure about this.

If you need this early a number, 707 is 'seven O seven' (not nought or zero).

    Re: pronunciation

Bob is correct, in AmE we say "seven forty-seven." Similarly, a 707 is "seven oh seven," 727 "seven twenty-seven," etc.

Do you mean no one would say "seven zero seven"?

But would you consider it ungrammatical or just unnatural?

Unnatural. I would assume the speaker was not a native speaker.
