    help! the usage of in and on

    i'm bit confuse,which should be right? in the table or on the table, in december or on december?....easy to understand rule please..tnx

    On the table (top, surface)
    In December (in + months/seasons/years, etc)

    thank you very much for the replies guys....yes i'd got the date rule now but how about the place should i always use the word "on" in places or position...also how about on other nouns and situation...example: in english or on english, in bravery or on bravery...can i have more rules on the usage of that two...thanks in advance
