    I am confused as to the order to use the Abbr. C/O "care of" on a letter address - who goes first and where does C/O fit in

    One would use that if the person who is to recieve the letter is not listed on the mail box.

    Mr. John Jones
    c/o Ms. Emily Johnson
    555 W. 5th Street
    Anywhere, NY 55555

    The letter is to Jones; the address is occupied by Johnson.
