Smile talk about? Or something else?

If I say "he talked about the four kinds of fish", does it mean he talked about them rather deeply, not superficially?

    For example,
A: What fish do you eat raw in Japan?
B: We eat tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and bream.

In the above case, B just gave four examples of the fish Japanese people eat raw. Do you say B "talked about" four fish or rather use a different verb like "mention", "name" or anything else?

    Thank you for your help.

That doesn't sound like 'talking about' to me. I'd use 'named' or 'gave the names of'. If he then went on to discuss the merits of the different types of fish, then he'd be talking about them, IMO.

Thank you so much for your help.

The sentence seemed a bit odd to me even when translated into Japanese.
But dictionaries can't tell us everything, you know
