    What are some different ways of saying someone has died? Which situations are they used in?

    Other gentle or euphemistic phrases:
    John has passed on.
    John has gone on to a better place.


    Other humorous/sarcastic phrases:
    John croaked.
    John kicked the bucket.
    John has bought the farm.
    John is taking the dirt nap.
    John is worm food.
