    Re: Teaching English Methods

If you mean with ESL, I think that the tendency is towards mixing and matching rather than following a single method. Things like CLT (Communicative Language Teaching) have become so vague that it is hard to define them as a clear method now.

There are so many methods. What do you mean? Teaching English as a second language or in general?

Teaching English as a second language.

I know that one method is the Role play. Could you give me examples of other methods?

    Re: Teaching English Methods

    Hi,
Language is primarily what is spoken and secondarily what is written.
Thus, Iím quite impressed with the Audio-lingua Method, which recommends speech should be given priority in language teaching, at the same time that structures also are given importance. It would be helpful to the later development of writing skill.
Learners should be given lots of listening and speaking exposure before they can speak, practices are very important to help them improve.
    Best regards
