    why we usually used " i am tired " or "i am confused ", " i am scared" etc not " i am tire ", " i am confuse " or " i am scare " ??? many thanks before

    We can use the past participle as an adjective, but not the base form of a verb. Here they are adjectives, just as you could say 'I am fat' or 'I am firendly'. That's why.
