    My Grandma

    Dear Teachers,

    A. She only lives around the corner from my Mom.
    - “around the corner” means “very near”, right?

    B. My Mom got mad at me when she knew that I’m living with my grandma. I ran away for a few days and now she’s really on me.
    - What does “she’s really on me” mean?

    Thanks a million

    Re: My Grandma

    A. Correct

    B. It means that she is really giving the person a hard time. Another saying is 'on my case'. The mother is being strict and/or mean with the child for running away - perhaps also for living with the grandmother.

    Hope this helps.
