    what's the correct way to use " ya" ?
    is it only used in colloquial language?
    can I write "YA" on a letter or something?

    It's only used informally. I wouldn't use it in a letter.

    It's common in emails and text messages to save time, but would only be suitable in a very informal letter. I would never use it in any form of formal correspondence.
