    million or millions

Hi folks. Can you help me?
I`d like to know why do you say ten million pounds and not ten millions pounds. Also, can you say: 2 millions have shown up or should you say two million people have shown up for the concert?
    Many thanks.

In the phrase ten million pounds the ten million acts as an adjective, and we don't pluralize adjectives.

Say, "Two million people have shown up for the concert."

    :)

We use the plural when the number is not specified-millions of people voted in the election.

The "millions" would be a noun in that case, yes?
