    traffic

Here in Philippines, we usually say "it is traffic" when the traffic is heavy or congested. Does this mean also the same in English? Can I just say traffic even if what I wanted to say is heavy traffic? Or, I really need to say "heavy traffic"? Thanks.

    Re: traffic

I'd say There's a lot of traffic/There's heavy traffic. 'It is traffic' sounds strange to me.

Yes, "light traffic", but also "little traffic" and "no traffic".
