    Red face Hit list

As far as I know, hit list means a list of people who are going to be murdered or acted against

    • His boss is going to terminate a number of staff in this department, unfortunately, Leo is among the hit list.

    Is the above sentence OK?

    Thanks

Almost. His boss is going to terminate a number of staff in this department; unfortunately, Leo is on the hit list.

You could also say Leo was 'in the firing line'.
