    Can one say:
    1-I worked very much. (instead of "a lot")
    2-I talked very much.

    If yes, then can the sentence:
    "I like to work very much."
    mean (as well as "I like very much to work.")
    I like to do a lot of work.

    Yes, we can, though 'much' is less common in the positive.
