    Default "a"

how do you pronounce "a" in "a car"?

I heard people in the US pronounce it "ei car" (normally I pronounce it "e car")

    thanks in advance!

It can be pronounced like that to stress it, but it's normally an unstressed schwa sound (like 'uh').
