    Smile Mistakes

"He was born in April 10, 1980."

    "
Does the teacher of the course gives a lot of homework?"

    Hi,
I need a little help. Where are the mistakes in these sentences? I think first one is OK. But the other can be wrong. Please help.

He was born on April 10, 1980.

Does the teacher of the course give a lot of homework?

You have made three mistakes in these sentences:1. He was born on April10, 1980. 2. Does the teacher of the course give much homework?

"Give a lot of homework" is also correct.

As far as I know "a lot of" is mostly used in affirmative sentences. In interrogative and negative sentences we use " many or much" instead of it.
