    Default ownership certificate

    Hi,

could you please tell me whether "ownership certificate" is the right expression for a document listing real estates, their area, their owners etc. kept by a Land Registry?

I found other possible expressions: ownership list, abstract of title, extract from the land register. Do they mean the same?

Are all of them correct and commonly used?

    Thank you very much.

    Hanka

I haven't checked to see if it's on the Anoka list, but in BE the most common expression is 'title deeds' or 'deed of title' - often abbreviated to 'deeds'.

My mortgage has matured, and the bank has just sent me the deeds.
