    Default helping verbs

    The sentence:

"I will be periodically checking e-mails while I'm away."

is incorrect and should be written:

"I will be checking e-mails periodically while I'm away."

but, I don't know why. It isn't a split infinitive or a dangling modifier so what is it?

It's because of word order. 1.Subject 2. predicate 3. object 4. adverb. clauses...
