    Cool fruit & fruits

    Hi,

I thought that the word fruit was uncountable. Why do I sometimes read the word fruits?

Uncountable words cannot be in the plural, can they?

It is both. We can say "much fruit" and "many fruits" meaning different kindsof fruit.

Also, there are figurative uses - e.g. 'the fruits of your labour'
