    Life To Life

    Dear Teachers,

    A. Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life.
    - Does "make life come to life" have a figurative meaning in this sentence?

    B. In some American movies, people often say "move it!" Does this mean "Let's go"? and is it polite to say?

    Thanks a million

Yes. It means that a soulmate makes your daily life more interesting, fills it with surprises, keeps it lively.

"Move it" can mean "let's go" or "get out of my way." It can be said jokingly among friends, but it's not really a very polite way to ask people to proceed or let you through.

    A. Yes; "to make life come to life" is figurative. Otherwise, your soulmate would have to conceive you to make that sentence a fact rather than a belief or opinion. B. "Move it," can mean more than, "Let's go." It can also mean, "Get out of my way!, or, "Shake what your momma gave you!(Dance!)" I'm not sure that it's ever polite, unless you're addressing a friend or someone with whom you are familiar. TTFN!
