    Wink Complete Sentence?

    Is this a complete sentence?

""Each of the last two repre-[word hyphenated at end of the line] sented a cost savings over the previous version."

If so, what is the subject and what is the verb? My unpaid editor says it is not. I say it is.

    Thank you.

    Re: Complete Sentence?

It rather depends on what preceded the sentence.

    "Represented" is the verb

"Each of the last two" is the subject of the verb

    Red face Re: Complete Sentence?

This is the entire paragraph. Is the last sentence a complete sentence? Thank you.

"There were three different types of barrel lugs, as shown below. The earliest was the one-piece brass lug, followed by the two-piece steel lug, which was followed by the one-piece steel lug. Each of the last two repre- sented a cost savings over the previous version."

That sentence is just fine. Your editor is overpaid.
