    Countries' or countrys'

Hi all, in a plural sense, should it be countries' or countrys'? I am unsure if they even exist.

I know that in a company sense, that companys' doesn't exst and instead it becomes companies' - for some reason?!

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards,
    CJ

Yes i understand that bit; however, when you are saying it in a possessive and plural sense e.g. I like different countries' (or countrys') cultures, which one do you use?

Sorry i should have communicated my question better.

If it is more than one country, it must be "countries" - this is the plural form. There is no such word as "countrys".

    Hi

Nouns whose forms in the singular end in "y" preceded by a consonant , change "y" into -"ies" in the plural :

    country - countries
    family - families

There are nouns that end in "y" preceded by a vowel .In that case, "y" does not change when turning the noun into plural :
    toy - toys
    boy - boys

    Regards

I like cultures of different countries. Otherwise you can say "different countries' cultures".
