    how to differentiate between adjective and adverb?

    An adjective modifies a noun (The giraffe is tall: giraffe is the noun and tall describes the giraffe.)

    An adverb modifies a verb(The giraffe walks slowly: walks is the verb, slowly describes the verb.)
