    Default interrogative?

"I didnt know before how tall man he actually was."

    Is this sentence correct?

I just wonder if i can use the phrase "how tall man" because how interrogative pronoun and along with how we usually use only adjectives.

    Thank you

It's not a natural English collocation, Jirikoo.

    Yup, it is correct, Jirikoo.

    Your example,

I didnt know before how tall a man actually was."

    and my sentence,

I didnt know before how tall a man he actually was",

have different meanings. Your example refers to any man, while mine refers to a specific man, 'he'.
