We have speakers of many varieties of English. A lot of the site is written in British English, but in the forum, there is American, British, Canadian, etc.

Can we use this term: European English? I have been using it since the year 2000.

I see no reason why not- as English internationalises, it would also form international varieties- European English has some different charactistics from Asian English, etc.

When I teach in the UK, I notice that my European students all speak a very similar English, with only pronunciation differences and have no trouble at all communicating with each other.

As I'm mostly teaching students from Europe I've decided to write a special textbook for them. While teaching I don't feel that they come from different countries. This proves once more that Europe is a Union. By the way the UK is a part of Europe, too.

It is, but as we're an island people, many speakers mean the other side of the Channel when they use the word Europe. I do it too sometimes, though I am very much in favour of the EU.
