    shoe in left/right foot.

If child puts on shoes in wrong way, how do you tell him to put right shoe in right foot and left shoe in left foot?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: shoe in left/right foot.

    That's a very cool question.

I, for one, say, "Your shoes are on the wrong feet. Switch them, please." and "Your shoe is on the wrong foot. Change it, please."

    All the best.

...or, less formerly, 'You've got your feet mixed up.'

In my family we say 'You've done an Alfie'. This is a reference to a picture-book that my son had, 20 years ago. It had a character called Alfie who was just learning to put his own shoes on.

I don't believe this is a widespread usage though.
