    3 question

1)I prefer to go out to clubs and see live comedy instead of watching TV recodings of it
Use than to rewrite, start by:
I prefer to see live comedy _____________ watching TV recordings of it

I think I would add "than" in the space, is it right?

    2) His boss told him he was fired and ordered him to leave immediately
Use "got" to rewrite, start by:
His boss told him he _____________________ and said he sould leave immediately

I really in mess with this sentence

3)she didn't let them out of sight for a second
    Rewrite, start by:
    Not________________

    * The 3 question above are not my assigment, I've read them in a test to the highschool and I didn;t know how to do them, so expect for your help

Yes, you are right. Instead of watching you should write watch.

While using rather than you have to change writing into write.

    Re: 3 question

    Maybe you still don't understand
Here the question exactly like this:
I prefer to see live comedy _____________ watching TV recordings of it
    (Using Than)

    Re: 3 question

    1-

If you have to use all parts of the initial scentence, it could be like this:

I prefer to see live comedy by going to clubs rather than watching TV recordings of it.

    Re: 3 question

    Does it sound ok?
Because the main verb of the 1st clause is "to see", meanwhile the 2nd is "watching"

    Re: 3 question

2 - What Harry wrote seems OK for me.
I think simply because it is better English than "he was fired"

Just like "I've got a house " is better English than "I have a house"

3- Not for a second she let him out of sight.
