    HOw to go about this????

    Thanks for the reply :)

But I was looking for an answer in another context..that is

when we ask a corporate guy who is buying server or something BIG

So we do not have to be rude but need to get the info for this...

Can we frame this question " Are you the decision maker? " in some other way in this context ??

    Thanks

I'm not a teacher, so please consider any advice I give in that context.

    Perhaps:
    • Will you be the one making the decisions on purchases?

I have been asked that question before, and did not find it to be rude. "When it comes to purchasing servers and mainframes for your company, are you the decision maker?" Most people will understand why you are asking that question.
