    The word 'current' is a slightly unusual choice. It suggests a purposeful flow, like in a river, which people get drawn along by..
    What does `get drawn along by' means in this sentence?
    Please explain it.

    People 'get drawn along by'-people go along with, like fashion, for example. Girls get drawn along by the fashion.They are influenced by fashion trends.
    Imagine you're in a crowd which is moving all in one direction.You get drawn along by the people.You go in the same direction.(I hope )

    'Draw' can mean pull.

    Draw the curtains
    Horse-drawn carriage
    drawer - you pull it open

    So, you mean

    you get drawn along by the people means (you were pulled by the people in the same direction where the people were moving)

    Am I right?
