    Default doubt

Till today, I thought the word (grammar, history, science) are common nouns.

But today I find it as abstract noun in my book.

    So, I am confused.

So, could you clarify my doubt?

Being a common noun does not deny the possibility of being an abstract noun.
An abstract noun may be either a proper noun or a common noun
