I would appreciate help with the diagramming of a sentence.

    The sentence is

Tell us whom you want to go to tent City tonight.

I don not want the answer directly, but I would like some help with diagramming this sentence. Thank you.

Re: I would appreciate help with the diagramming of a sentence.

Think of the sentence as having two elements:

    Tell us
    and
whom you want to go to tent city tonight.

Think, now, of 'whom' as the 'name' of the person you want to go to tent city.

The second element (a clause) answers the question of what you want "you" (implied) to tell us.

Hint: your diagram will have two clause frames, one with a prepositional phrase.

    Cheers!
