    Re: cut open

    Hi, Gary,
What does cut open mean in this sentence?
Cut open means make a cut to see what's inside doing it in a way that would not result in dividing the thing you are cutting into two pieces.
When you cut bread, you get pieces of bread. When you cut open a frog, you still have it whole, but with a hole.
