    the march of Mind

    please help me understand this sentence ( specially underlined part ):
    You are enthrusted by a particular metanarrative, such as the story of technological progress or the march of Mind .

    The unstoppable progress 'Mind' has made, but whether this means reason or our knowledge of the functioning of the mind is not clear to me.
