    Default treaded through the material

    The sari had gold strands threaded through the material.

    What does `threaded through the material' mean in this sentence?

    Please explain it.

    Look at a piece of woven fabric.
    There are threads weaving though it.
    The sari has gold threads woven through it. The threads are threaded through the fabric.
