Default similarities and differences between these sentences!

    Hi, teachers!
I'm now confused with these following pairs of sentences!
Are there any similarities and differences between (1a) and (1b), and between (2a) and (2b)?
    (1) a. Salvador Dali's latest portrait
    b. the latest Salvador Dali portrait

    (2) a. my Linguistics lecture to the Faculty
    b. my Faculty Linguistics lecture

    Hope for your brilliant replies!
    Thanks in advance.

1 In a), Salvador Dali is the painter, but in the second he could be the painter or the person in the picture.
2 In a), you gave the lecture, but in b) you could have given or attended it.
