    that...

    An organization with the legal rights of a person and that may be owned by many persons is called a corporation.

    Can I omit "that", or "that may be?"
    By the way, is there any punctuation mistake in the sentence(can I omit...) above?

    I think you need to rewrite the original sentence somewhat. Try:
    • An organization that has the legal rights of a person and that may be owned by many persons is called a corporation.


    (Say: "Can I omit "that" or "that may be"?")
