    sell out

“She is a dream. She is superb,” said actress Perizaad Zorabian.

MTV VJ Sophie added, ”She is a wonderful performer and I have always been a very big fan of hers.”

The three-hour concert where the Colombian pop star enthralled fans, was a huge sell out.

“She was so serene, so unruffled, she was so tranquil, so inevitable that she created an illusion beyond imagination,” one of the audience said.

“I have come from Delhi. I missed my board exam just to see Shakira and it was worth it. I don’t mind sitting in class 12 for another year,” another fan added.

    Re: sell out

    Hello UG,

When a concert (or other event) is a "sell out", it means that all the tickets have been sold. In this instance, it was a "huge sell out", which probably means that there was a very great demand for the tickets (perhaps they were all sold within the first few hours).

"Inevitable" here is obscure. It may mean "exactly as she ought to be".

An "illusion beyond imagination" is "something that nobody could have imagined". In other words, it was "beyond the speaker's wildest dreams.

    All the best,

    MrP
