    dangerous sense of humour

    if you are said to have a 'dangerous sense of humour', what does this mean?

    Your sense of humour might lead you to do or say something you find funny, but which causes damage or distress (or total bafflement) in others.

    Or anger. A person with a dangerous sense of humour may suffer because of it.

    Also - though more rarely - 'a dangerous sense of humour' may sometimes refer to danger not so much to the comedian as to the Establishment - it can be the same as a subversive sense of humour.
