    Is it correct to call the above-mentioned phrases 'prespositional phrases'?

    Yes. Prepositional phrases answer the question Where?. Like this,

    Ex: It's next to the desk. Where? Next to it.
    Ex: It's on the left of the desk. Where? On the left of it.
