    i camped in the mountain
    i camped on the mountain
    i camped at theh mountain

    which one is correct

    I camped on the mountain - I climbed the mountain and camped halfway up.

    I camped at the mountain - I went to the mountain and camped there, but not actually on it.

    It would be difficult to camp "in" the mountain, unless there was a large cave underneath it.
