    SCRATCH - rub

The cat scratched itself on my legs.

    Is it correct?

Not really. Cat's rub on or against our legs. Cats scratch themselves with their paws/claws or they scratch other things with them.

If the cat did that, I'd recommend shouting at it, after you've cleaned your injuries.
