I'm brand new to the forum and I teach an Intermediate level ESL course at a private college in Germany. This is my first teaching experience and I have had nothing (much) to go on as far as lesson plans.
We are now just four class periods away from the Final Exam and I'd like some feedback from you forum members as to what should be on the final (i.e., what I'd better cover very soon!) One possibility is covering "reporting statements" (i.e., direct and indirect speech).
Topics already covered and quizzed on (to be included on the final):
All verb tenses w/emphasis on understanding the difference between simple past and present perfect; homophones; reading comprehension; definite and indefinite article (the students from the former East Bloc require this); plurals;
What I've skipped: count and non-count nouns (too complicated); gerunds (don't see the point); possessive nouns (too easy).
"Mister Professor Mark"
Why not cover their skills as well as testing grammar?
