    hang/hung

    i get confused which one is used for

    1. clothes
    2. someone who was killed through rope
    3. phone

    can anybody give me examples and please give also the

    simple present.....past tense....and past participle of these words.

    1a. Present: Please, hang the clothes on the line.
    1b. Past: I hung the clothes in the line this morning.
    1c. Past Participle: The clothes were hung on the line.

    2a. Present: Hang the criminals!
    2b. Past: They hanged the criminals yesterday.
    2c. Past Participle: The criminals are going to be hanged today. <Click here>

    3a. Present: Please, hang up the phone.
    3b. Past: They hung up on me!
    3c. Past Participle: I was hung up on!

    It is, isn't it? Mind you, I don't live in the past, so "hung" [someone] sounds more modern to me. In fact, I even say it.
