    Re: The uses of "MADE" and "DO"

    Welcome, juaponce.

    Here's something I've used with my students that seems to work:

    Make = create
    Ex: make dinner
    Ex: make a dress
    Ex: make a webpage <create as in design>
    Ex: make the bed <create a comfortable place>
    Ex: make a joke <as in tell a joke, meaning create laughter>
    Ex: make a phone call <create a connection>

    Do = physical work
    Ex: Do your homework
    Ex: Do the dishes
    Ex: Do housework
    Ex: Do a song <synonymouos with sing a song>

    All the best.
