    Default What is the rule?

Actually i need to know the rule behind the uses of (of) in expressions of quantity:
    *Most books are intresting.
*All of the students must study hard.(incorrect!).
*All students must have an I.D. card.
    I hope you help me.

To me all your examples look correct.

I think you need to be a bit clearer about your problem with "of".
