    word history

    Dears!
Would you please tell the history of the children`s rhyme "Liar, liar pants on fire, hang them over the telephone wire"!
And one more thing: do you have any associations with the word combination "rabbits in polka-dotted ties". May be it is connected with some cartoon or something.....??
    I appreciate you assistance
    Thanks
    Jane

Rabbits in polka-dotted ties might be a reference to a cartoon. For some reason, it sounds a bit like Alice in Wonderland to me.
