    critically evaluate

I have come across the colloquial `critically evaluate' on many occasions particularly in imperative sentences.

e.g. Critically evaluate the `Joule's Law', etc.

please tell the meaning of `critically evaluate'.

    Re: critically evaluate

    Hi

to evaluate means to examine and judge carefully. It is based on sound evidence, good reasons, and so on and so forth.

"examine / evaluate critically" then implies skillfull analysis of information as a guide to belief and action.

I guess... Do correct me if I'm wrong.
