signing a letter for the boss

I have written and gotten approved a formal letter to be sent to a business contact. I am signing my bosses name with his permission. I need to know if I am to distinguish that fact by adding a slash along with my initials. For example:

    Sincerely,

    Joe Dirt/smm

    Joe Dirt
    President

Yes, that is the traditional procedure when signing a letter for your boss.
