    Question hang around

    what is the meaning of hang around in this sentence?

    I will be teaching this summer (July) and attending workshops in June. So I will be hanging around Boone most of the summer and starting my next project.thanks

    We don't know enough to answer that question. From the bit you have quoted for us, "he" is just hanging around Boone - he's going to be in Boone for the summer, visiting his friends, doing a bit of teaching, going to workshops, not going away, preparing for his next project.
