    Re: Salutation

You'll need to find out how the company writes it. Both M/S and M/s. (acronyms for motor ship) are used. For example,

M/s Freight Masters Alliance, CA, India
    M/S Freightair Services, CA, India

Also, it may be a female reading your letter. To be honest, when I worked in purchasing years ago, I automatically put the bids and proposals addressed simply "Dear Sir" at the bottom of the pile for consideration. It's more business-like to address it "Dear Sir or Madam."

    Re: Salutation

Great link, Cas! After reading that, I'm leaning towards the non-gender specific "Yo!" as a greeting.

    Re: Salutation

Since text speak seems to be taking over the nation, how about skipping the greeting and just saying:

    Wassup? How r u?

And then getting into the matter at hand?
